The Eclipse Desk
The Eclipse Desk is a celebration of materials and form. Named after its concave and convex form that resembles the illuminated passage of celestial bodies in the sky, the Fred Rigby design has a distinctive, asymmetrical silhouette that invites to touch. Available in black-lacquered oak and oiled natural oak with a black painted leg, the tabletop is fitted with a lid that lifts to reveal hidden storage within the supportive steel column, ensuring desk space remains free of clutter. Designed to stand alone as a centrepiece in the middle of a room or for placement up against a wall as a more conventional piece of home office furniture, its intriguing form draws the eye. Black Stained Oak
Please note: as each sample is crafted from natural wood, variations in colour and grain are to be expected.
Black-stained solid oak with lacquer has undergone a staining process, resulting in a black surface to alter the natural colour of the wood. Coloured varnish is then applied to provide a smooth and glossy surface, adding a layer of protection against wear and moisture.

An oil finish enhances the characteristics of solid oak, bringing out the depth and warmth of the wood while helping to repel moisture and dust to contribute to the longevity of the furniture. A reapplication of oil can often remove minor imperfections to rejuvenate the appearance.
