The Conrad Lounge Table is shaped through a balance of curve and line. Crafted in form pressed veneer with solid wood edges, the table is defined by a gentle upward movement along its border, creating a subtle boundary that keeps objects in place.
The form draws inspiration from Japanese architecture – the upward-curving lines of temple roofs where lightness and precision meet. This is reflected in the soft volume and defined lines of the table’s side profile.
Exposed screws highlight the honesty of the design, marking the joining points and adding a small but deliberate detail to the surface. Adjustable feet ensure stability on uneven floors.

The tabletop and base are made using bend wood pressed by high temperature, CNC-cut to shape, and then lacquered.

Lacquered oak veneer is a thin layer of oak wood that has been treated with a varnish for a long-lasting, easy-care finish. Displaying the same colour and distinctive grain patterns as its solid counterpart, the varnished finish enhances these natural characteristics, bringing out the depth and beauty of the wood and providing a beautiful sheen.

Dark-stained oak veneer with lacquer is constructed with a core material covered with a thin layer of oak veneer which has undergone a staining process, resulting in a dark surface to alter the natural colour of the wood. Varnish is then applied to enhance and protect the appearance.

Designer Laura Lange holds a BA in Industrial Design from Design School Kolding and an MA in Furniture and Spatial Design from the Royal Danish Academy. Her practice is grounded in an understanding of how materials behave and how industrial processes shape the final object. Interested in how objects relate to space and user, she often develops designs that sit between product and environment rather than functioning as isolated elements. Her work is defined by careful attention to proportion, assembly and the point where structure becomes clear in use. For Audo, she has designed the Conrad Lounge Table, a low furniture piece that translates these principles into a restrained form where construction remains visible.
